Can I print, download, copy or record lessons and use them outside of Off2Class?

In this article, we'll cover how to download and print lessons and what content can and cannot be used outside of Off2Class.

Overview

Off2Class lessons are primarily designed for online use within the platform. A limited set of lessons and resources are available for download and printing, along with additional printable materials such as Student Handouts.

You can share lessons from the download resource library outside Off2Class. For example, you can send one to a parent or a prospective student as a sample of an Off2Class lesson.

These are downloadable lesson files, not lesson plans. For the plan for teaching a lesson, see Teacher Guides.

Accessing downloadable lessons

  1. Go to the download resource library.
  2. Browse the lesson categories (for example, Business English, IELTS or Verbs).
  3. Download the lesson files.
  4. Print them or use them as needed.

Student Handouts

Student Handouts are printable worksheets that go with the lessons. They aren't printed copies of the Lesson Slides. Each Student Handout ends with an Answer Key. Remove those pages before you share the handout with students. See Student Handouts for how to use them and an example.

To download a handout, select Resources (the download icon) on the lesson card in the Lesson Library, next to Preview Homework.

Student Handouts are available for six programs:

  • Everyday English for Newcomers
  • Step-by-Step Curriculum Newcomers
  • Reading for Newcomers
  • Speaking for Newcomers
  • Step-by-Step Curriculum for Schools Beginner
  • Step-by-Step Curriculum for Schools Upper Beginner

Notes

  • Homework is completed online in Off2Class and can't be printed. For printable practice, use Student Handouts.
  • Only lessons in the download resource library can be downloaded, printed or shared outside Off2Class.
  • Most Off2Class lessons cannot be downloaded, printed, copied, or recorded due to copyright restrictions.
  • Lessons can be projected on a screen or whiteboard for in-person teaching.
  • Full functionality (audio, interactivity, progress tracking) is available only when using lessons inside Off2Class.
  • Audio tracks are not included in downloadable materials.
