Manager vs Owner permissions
Manager permissions
Managers have nearly complete control over the account and can access all sections of the Enterprise Management Panel. They can:
- Manage managers
- Manage teachers
- Manage students
- Manage classes
- Manage courses
Important
Managers can add, edit, or remove managers, but they cannot change a user’s role (e.g. teacher to manager or manager to teacher). Please contact Support to make this change.
Owner permissions
Owners can do everything a manager can. In addition:
- Only owners can manage subscriptions (for accounts paying by card)
- Owners cannot be removed from the account
- Contact Off2Class to add/remove an owner
Managing managers
All manager actions are done from the Enterprise Management Panel, the Managers card.
Add a manager
- Go to the Enterprise Management Panel
- Click the Managers card to view current managers
- Click Add Manager
- Fill out the required fields
- Click Submit
Edit a manager's account
- Go to the Enterprise Management Panel
- Click the Managers card
- Click the manager's name
- Update any of the following
- Name
- Email address
- Password
- Click Submit
Managers cannot send a password reset email to another manager, but they can update the password directly here.
Remove a manager
- Go to the Enterprise Management Panel
- Click the Managers card
- Click the manager's name
- Click Remove User
- Click Yes, permanently delete
This action is irreversible. If the manager also has a teacher role, it will be deleted. To remove only the manager role, please contact Off2Class.
Handling error messages when adding managers
There are two error messages that could occur
- Error: "A user with this email is already registered on this site". This means the email is already associated with another Off2Class account. Contact Support to resolve this for you.
- Error: "You already have this user registered within your enterprise". This means the user already exists in your account. Try locating the user instead fo creating a new one. Contact Support for help if needed.
