Note: If you want to hide Teacher Notes so your students can't see them (i.e. if you're projecting your laptop on a screen), click the arrows on the top right of your screen. Click the arrows again to bring it back.
Teacher Notes on the left
On the first slide, Teacher Notes displays the objective and the Can-do statement. On subsequent slides, it will display helpful information about the specific slide.

On the top right, above the lesson slides, are various helpful options
- Canvas: A blank canvas with options to write, draw, and add images
- Homework: Preview the homework for the lesson
- Write on slides: A draggable free-text box overlayed on the lesson slide
- Draw on slides: A customizable pen to draw on the lesson slide
- Reset slides: Removes annotations and resets the slide to its default view
- Zoom on slides: Zoom on specific parts of the slide
- Switch to fullscreen: Enters fullscreen mode, opening Teacher Notes in a separate window
The lesson slides are on the middle right. Use the arrows below to navigate through the slides
Add another layer of interactivity to your in-person lessons by right-clicking on any word
- Audio: Hear the pronunciation of the highlighted word
- Google Translate: The student can see the word in their own language
- Image Search: A google image search, will send the link to the classroom chat for the student
- Dictionary: See a definition of the word
- Settings: Set the default language for Google Translate and the picture search engine
- Disable/Enable Editing: If disabled the student cannot change the translate language search
Use the timeline below the slides to quickly view and jump to different slides
Below the timeline and Teacher Notes
- Enroll students: Enroll individual students or classes.
- Take notes on your students: Create a note for every student in the class
- Give us feedback: Send feedback directly to the Off2Class team about this slide.
- Close classroom: End the lesson and optionally assign homework.
Note: Closing the tab or using the back arrow will not close the classroom or prompt assigning homework. Always close using 'Close Classroom'.
Classroom Chat on the bottom left
- Chat with your students.
- See notifications in the chat when your students enter or exit the classroom.
- Click 'Start Video' if teaching online and want to launch your video conferencing software.
To the right of the classroom chat
- Search for students enrolled in the active lesson
- See who has joined the lesson by looking at the icon to the left of the student's name.
- Remove students by clicking on the icon to the right of their name.
- Add a participation score by clicking the pencil icon (if a student was enrolled via a class)
- Add a note to an individual student by clicking the yellow sticky note.
Many lessons include audio
- Controls: Play, pause, or start again at the beginning of the track
- Book icon: Open the transcript pop-up
- Audio Transcript: Only available to the teacher during the lesson, but available to the students in their Lesson Slides, for homework
