Both browsing and enrollment features are available to all Teachers. Teachers on free subscriptions have access to only a limited number of lessons and cannot enroll multiple students or classes.
This article is composed of two sections:
Browsing a lesson on your own
- Start in the Lesson Library.
- Find the lesson group you want to teach (e.g. Foundational Literacy, Business English)
- Click the dropdown menu below the lesson group to expand the lesson list, then select the lesson you want to launch.
- Click the play button, then click 'I'm just browsing'
You'll enter the classroom and be able to interact with the lesson slides.
Enrolling students or a class in a live lesson
Enrolling your students in a lesson provides them with access to the lesson slides for self-review, as well as homework assignments, allowing you to accurately monitor their progress. Enrolled students can also interact with the lesson slides, creating a stimulating and interesting learning experience.
You have two methods available:
From the lesson library, while launching a lesson
- Start in the Lesson Library.
- Find the lesson group you want to teach (e.g. Foundational Literacy, Business English)
- Click the dropdown menu below the lesson group to expand the lesson list, then select the lesson you want to launch.
- Click the play button
- Enroll a Class: Click 'Select a class', select your desired class, then click 'Enroll'
- Enroll a Student: Select Students, click 'An existing student', select the desired student, then click 'Enroll'
- If you launch a lesson and want to enroll additional students or classes in the lesson, follow the steps for 'From the classroom, after launching the lesson' below.
In the Lesson Roster on the bottom left, your students' names will appear. Your students can follow the steps in this video to join the live lesson. Once they join, the status icon to the left of their name will turn green. Learn more about the classroom here.
From the classroom, after launching the lesson
If you've already launched a lesson and want to enroll students or classes, follow the steps below.
- In the Actions Bar on the bottom left, click 'Enroll Students'
- Enroll a Student: Click 'Select student', select the desired student, then click 'Enroll'
- Enroll a Class: Select Classes, click 'Select a class', select your desired class, then click 'Enroll'
- Repeat as needed—this lets you add more students or classes mid-lesson.
