A quick way to review homework is to start in the Teacher Panel and click the To Do tab.
Briefly, in this tab you can -
- view the date the assignment was submitted
- click a link to the student's dashboard
- see the student's class (if applicable)
- see the homework assignment
- see their score
Click the date submitted to open a homework assignment
This opens a new window with the answer key on the left and your student's answers on the right.
Check the answers, alter the score slightly if needed using the little drop-down, and leave a note to your student by dragging the pen and notepad to a specific question or to the General Feedback box. Note: Only single-option answers are auto-scored. For sentences and paragraphs use the pen and notepad to leave a comment for your student.
- Toggle: moves the editor box to the left or right of the screen.
- 'Input student Answer': easily make edits, using different colors, italics, or bold text.
To hide the answer key click the double arrow icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen
This is helpful if you want to review homework together with your student via screen sharing. Toggle the double arrows to return to the previous view.
See How can I learn about the Teacher Panel? to see how to save time by bulk reviewing auto-scored homework.
Another method is to enable 'Homework Submission Notifications' in settings, in the drop-down menu under your name in the top right corner, to receive email notifications when your students submit homework.
Click the link in the email to be taken directly to the homework assignment
Or, go directly to Student Management and click your student's name.
The next screen shows your student's lesson history. A green Submitted button indicates the homework has been submitted and is ready for review. (Use the blue gear icon to remove an assignment or change the due date)
Click the eye icon to open the homework assignment
Review homework as noted in the article above.
Once reviewed, 'Close The Classroom'
Choose to mark the homework as either Not Reviewed or Reviewed. Choosing 'Reviewed' reveals the homework score to your students, as well as your written feedback.
Your students will see their homework scores in their Completed Work tab when they next log in
Note: Use the green 'Give Us Feedback' button if you notice anything in the homework that should be brought to our attention.
