Beta Updates

Keep up to date with the new features we enable for beta testers.

The features mentioned in this article are available only to users in our Beta Program. Beta Program participants receive early access to features to test them and share feedback with Off2Class before the features are released to all users. You can request access here.

If you are not a beta tester, you can read about features live to all of our users here:

January 12, 2026 - Adaptive Placement Test (Listening)

Feature Status: 🟢 Live to all users

Category: Assessments

Type: New Feature 🚀

Change:

A short, adaptive English assessment for the Listening domain.

November 5, 2025 - Adaptive Placement Test (Grammar + Reading)

Feature Status: 🟢 Live to all users

Category: Assessments

Type: New Feature 🚀

Change:

A short, adaptive English assessment that delivers precise results across the four domains and grammar in under 20 minutes per section. It supports both placement and growth tracking from level to level, with sections that can be reassigned individually to target specific domains or grammar.

When assigning the test, you have the option between the Standard Placement Test and the new Adaptive Placement Test.

What's new?

  1. It's shorter: The test now adapts to each student. Question difficulty adjusts based on their answers, so the test can assess their proficiency level in far fewer questions.
  2. It can assess specific domains: You can choose exactly which domains to test. For example, if you only want to assess reading, you can assign just a reading test instead of requiring grammar first.
  3. It works for all levels in the beginner to advanced range: Because the test adapts, it’s now suitable for more students. Lower-level students won’t have to work through 100+ questions, many of which may be too difficult; higher-level students won’t have to answer questions that are too simple before getting to ones that are more suitable.

Launching today: Grammar & Reading
*Launching later this year: Listening, Writing and Speaking

April 1, 2025 - Writing Auto-Scoring
