Hide Teacher Notes and view them on your phone

In this article, we'll cover how to hide Teacher Notes from your students and follow them on a phone or small tablet instead.

Before you start: a lesson open in the Classroom. To follow Teacher Notes on your phone, you also need to log in to the same account on the phone.

Teacher Notes are slide-by-slide notes that come with every lesson. They give lesson objectives, teaching tips, grammar explanations, exercise answers, extension questions and ideas for keeping students engaged.

They sit next to the slides in the Classroom. When you project your screen or share it in a video call, you can hide them from students and keep them on your own screen or phone.

Hide Teacher Notes in the Classroom

  • At the top right of the Classroom, select Switch to Fullscreen (the four-corners icon).

Result: the slides fill the screen and Teacher Notes open in a separate tab. Keep that tab in the background, or move it to a second screen.

To bring Teacher Notes back, select Exit Fullscreen (the same icon).

View Teacher Notes on your phone

  1. On your phone or small tablet, go to app.off2class.com in your web browser and log in.
  2. Select Tap here to track your active classroom's teacher notes.

Result: Teacher Notes open on your phone and move with the slides as you go forward or back in the lesson.

To close the notes on your phone, select Close Notes.

Things to know

Note: the blue button only shows on a device that uses a mobile browser, such as a phone or small tablet. Laptops and desktop computers don't show it.

Note: Off2Class isn't an app. Log in through your phone's web browser.

Note: Teacher Notes can't be printed.
