Overview
Off2Class lessons are pre-designed, interactive slide-based lessons. Each lesson combines different activity types to support specific learning outcomes and is structured to fit a standard class session.
- Lesson slides are pre-designed and cannot be edited directly
- Canvas changes are saved but do not modify the lesson itself
- Courses organize lessons but do not change lesson content
- Lesson duration varies based on pacing, class size, and student level
Lesson activities
Use a range of built-in activity types within each lesson:
- Comprehension activities: ordering events, true/false, multiple choice, matching
- Practice activities: fill-in-the-blank, sentence prompts, cloze tasks
- Productive activities: role-plays, dialogues, email writing, debates, reports
These activities are embedded directly into the lesson slides.
Lesson length
Plan lessons based on a typical class session:
- Most lessons are designed for approximately 45–60 minutes
- Lessons typically include 15–25 slides
- Lower-level lessons may include more slides with simpler, repeated practice
Customizing lessons
Adapt lessons during teaching without changing the original content:
- Use Canvas
- Draw, write, or add content during the lesson
- Add supporting materials or extend activities in real time
- Use Courses (multi-teacher subscriptions only)
- Group lessons into a structured sequence
- Assign lessons and homework in bulk
- Organize content for different classes or levels
Tips
- Use Canvas to extend speaking or writing activities without leaving the lesson
- Lower-level lessons include more repetition to support comprehension
- Adjust pacing by skipping, expanding, or revisiting slides during class
