How can I handle error messages when selecting multiple students by email?

In this article, we'll cover how to handle error messages when selecting multiple students by email.

 

There are two error messages that might occur when attempting to select multiple students by email. We'll cover each of them below and how to solve them. 

  • Capitalization: The function is case-sensitive. Mathew is different than Matthew.
  • Trailing characters: The function requires an exact match, so a trailing period or any other character (other than a comma or space) will cause an error.

A best practice is keeping capitalization consistent between your school records and Off2Class. 


You can utilize our Export function to easily obtain a list of your student data in Off2Class.

Click on the emails not found text to show the email(s) that didn't match an account. 

Changing the case results in a match.

Trailing characters

Click on the emails not found text to show the email(s) that didn't match an account. 

Removing the period and the additional "m" results in matches.
