To assign a placement test to a student, start in the Enterprise Management Panel. Click Students, then select one or multiple students by clicking on the box to the left of the student's name.
Note: you can assign a placement test to the same student multiple times.
Click Assign Placement Test in the Bulk actions menu and then Submit.
Select a teacher and the sections you want to include, then click Apply.
There must be at least one teacher assigned to the student(s) to assign the placement test.
Grammar Section:
- Compulsory
- Contains 100 multiple choice questions, increasing in difficulty throughout the test
- Provides you with an overall proficiency level for the student
Listening Section:
- Optional
- Contains 12 multiple choice questions based on an audio recording
- Provides you a result that supports the student’s proficiency level (as determined by the Grammar Section) or alerts you to a discrepancy with it
Reading Section:
- Optional
- Contains between 9 and 12 multiple choice questions based on a written text
- Provides you a result that supports the student’s proficiency level (as determined by the Grammar Section) or alerts you to a discrepancy with it
Writing Section:
- Optional
- Contains 1 question to which the candidate must provide a written response
- Provides you an example of the student’s writing abilities
Speaking Section:
- Optional
- Contains 1 question to which the candidate must record a spoken response
- Provides you an example of the student’s speaking abilities
