Teacher Guides save time, reduce guesswork, and help make lessons more effective. Whether you're new to teaching ELs, looking for new classroom ideas, or just short on prep time, Teacher Guides give you the support you need—like suggested questions, ways to adapt for different students, and ideas to keep everyone engaged.

They take the stress out of lesson planning. You can jump into a class and feel confident knowing exactly how to guide your students through the material. We built them to make teaching smoother, and early feedback from teachers has been overwhelmingly positive.

Choosing when to use the Teacher Guide depends on your teaching needs and context. Here are three popular ways we expect teachers will use them:

  • Before teaching: Skim the Guide to plan out how you’ll deliver the lesson. Identify parts of the lesson that might need greater focus for your students. Understand how the lesson fits into your wider curriculum and course outline.
  • While teaching: Open the Guide after launching the lesson and follow it as you go. Use the activity, differentiation, and assessment suggestions as you deliver the lesson to support your students most effectively.
  • After teaching: Use the Teacher Guide as a record of what your students have covered. Note down which parts of the lesson were completed successfully and which need more focus in future lessons.

You can keep the Guide in another tab, a second screen, or print it for easy reference.
